ERP IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project Management Across the Full ERP Ecosystem

ERP Project Management That Keeps Implementation Work Moving

Appointing a Project or Program Manager for an ERP implementation or a related project within your organization is the first critical step on the way to successful completion of the business objectives.  Broad skills including working within your industry, implementing business applications, providing leadership, being organized, and having a strong network of resources are characteristics to look for in someone to fill this role.

John Hannan LLC provides client-side ERP implementation project management for manufacturing, distribution, life sciences, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. Supporting clients across the United States, North America, and Europe, we lead ERP projects across internal teams, software vendors, implementation partners, and add-on vendors to keep scope, timeline, budget, risk, and go-live readiness on track.

Client-Side Project Management (PMO) for ERP Implementations

We act as your internal ERP PMO without adding a full-time headcount. We track your (our) team’s deliverables, run steering committee meetings, lead weekly status calls, produce and maintain RAID logs, and are accountable for vendor coordination so the plan stays real and issues surface early. We manage scope, schedule, and budget, track change, and hold implementation partners accountable to what was sold, what’s in the SOW, and what your team can actually absorb. When a partner struggles, we step in, escalate with the software vendor, and, if necessary, run a targeted partner re-selection without blowing up the program.

Our consulting team has demonstrated a range of capabilities from presenting project reporting to C-Level executives at Fortune 500 companies to working with individual warehouse workers to understand and adapt to new technology such as handhelds.  As project work concludes, we ensure your team is trained and capable of taking over the long-term maintenance and further development of the software applications.

FAQs

How does ERP project management help across multiple vendors?

ERP implementations often involve the core ERP vendor, implementation partner, add-on vendors, integration resources, reporting tools, and internal teams. John Hannan LLC manages the full ERP ecosystem so each party understands its role and one vendor’s decision does not create downstream issues for another system, process, or department.

Can ERP project management help an implementation that's off track?

Yes. John Hannan LLC can assess what is off track, identify gaps in scope, governance, timeline, vendor performance, business readiness, or decision-making, and create a practical recovery plan. The goal is to bring structure back to the project without disrupting business operations.

What is a client-side ERP project manager and why use one for implementation?

A client-side ERP project manager leads the implementation on behalf of the business rather than the software vendor or implementation partner. This role helps the company maintain control over scope, timeline, budget, risks, decisions, business readiness, and go-live while coordinating internal teams and external vendors around the same outcomes. John Hannan LLC provides client-side ERP project management to help companies keep implementations aligned with business requirements and hold all parties accountable for delivery.
